Configuring Application Filter Settings

To configure application filters, complete the following steps:

1	In the left pane, select the firewall appliance to manage.

2	Click the Policies tab.

3	In the center pane, navigate to Application Filters > Settings.

 

4	To update the filter database, click Update Filter Database. The scheduler displays.

 

5	Select Immediate or specify a future date and time.

6	Click Accept.

7	To enable application filtering, check Enable Application Filtering.

8	Click Update. The scheduler displays.

9	Expand Schedule by clicking the plus icon.

10	Select Immediate or specify a future date and time.

11	Click Accept.

12	To enable the application filters exclusion list that excludes an IP address or IP address range from application filtering, check Enable Application Filters Exclusion List.

13	Click Update. The scheduler displays.

14	Select Immediate or specify a future date and time.

15	Click Accept.

16	Enter the address range for the application filters exclusion list by entering a beginning IP address range in the Address Range Begin field and an ending IP address in the Address Range End field.

17	Click Add. The scheduler displays.

18	Expand Schedule by clicking the plus icon.

19	Select Immediate or specify a future date and time.

20	Click Accept.
