Configuring the Firewall for Flow Reporting

To configure the firewall for Flow Activity Reporting, complete the following:

1	Log in to the GMS management interface.

2	Navigate to the Firewall > Reports > Flow Activity page.

The Flow Activity Configuration screen displays. This screen only displays for initial configurations of Flow Activity Reporting.

 

3	Follow the steps provided in the Flow Activity Configuration screen:

a	Click the drop-down list, and then select the Flow Server IP address. This is the IP address to which the firewall sends the flows.

b	Login to the firewall’s Diagnostic screen.

 

c	Click Internal Settings.

 

d	Under Flow Activity, click Enable Visualization UI for Non-Admin/Config users.

e	Click Close.

f	Navigate to the Flow Reporting page in the firewall’s management interface, and then click Activate your SonicWALL Application Visualization Trial.

 

g	Enter your Username and Password to login to mySonicWALL.com, and then click Submit.

h	Find Application Visualization in the list, and then select Activate in the Manage Services Column. The Flow Reporting page displays.

 

i	Enter the Collector’s IP Address.

j	Click Update.

k	Navigate to the GMS management interface’s Firewall > Reports > Flow Activity page.

 

l	In the Flow Activity Configuration screen, click Next.

The Flow Activity Configuration is complete. The Reports > Flow Activity pages now display the flow reports.
