Preparing a CDP Appliance

To prepare a CDP appliance for GMS management, complete the following:

1	Log in to your SonicWALL CDP appliance.

2	Navigate to System > Administration.

3	In GMS settings, select Enable GMS Management.

4	Type the GMS host name or IP address of the GMS server in the GMS Host Name or IP Address field.

5	Type the GMS syslog server port in the Syslog Server Port field. The default port is 514.

6	Enter the heartbeat interval, in seconds, in the Heartbeat Interval (seconds) field. The maximum heartbeat interval is 86400 (24 hours).

7	Click Submit
