Calculating the Syslog Count

Use the calculation in the section that matches your system deployment to obtain the Syslog count.

Existing Deployment

1	Navigate to the Console > Diagnostics > Summarizer page.

2	Obtain the Syslog count from each summarizer by viewing the Average Syslogs Summarized (million/day), if it is from distributed deployment.

 

New deployment

1	Click this link: http://www.sonicwall.com/us/products/GMS_Software.html

2	Click the Capacity Calculator 2 tab.

3	Enter the information for your deployment.

4	View the Estimated Syslog Count text-field to obtain the results.
