NTP Settings

Network Time Protocol (NTP) is a protocol used to synchronize computer clock times in a network of computers. NTP uses Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) to synchronize computer clock times to a millisecond, and sometimes, to a fraction of a millisecond.

Setting the Update Interval

To set the interval for the firewall time to be updated, enter the time, in minutes, in the Update Interval (minutes) field. The minimum time is 5 minutes, the maximum time is 100080 minutes, and the default time is 60 minutes.

Adding an NTP Server

By default, the firewall uses an internal NTP server list, but you can add to the list. Any server you add, you can edit or delete; you cannot edit or delete servers on the internal list.

To add an NTP server to the firewall configuration

Click Add. The Add NTP Server dialog displays.

MD5 – If you select MD5, the following authentication fields become active.

Click OK. The NTP Server section shows the server.

Deleting an NTP Server

To delete an NTP server, highlight the IP address and click its Delete icon. Or, click Delete All to delete all servers.
