Configuring a Dell SonicWALL GAV Exclusion List

Any IP addresses listed in the exclusion list bypass virus scanning on their traffic.The Gateway AV Exclusion List section provides the ability to either select an Address Object or define a range of IP addresses whose traffic will be excluded from Dell SonicWALL GAV scanning.

CAUTION: Use caution when specifying exclusions to Dell SonicWALL GAV protection.
To add an IP address range for exclusion, perform these steps:

On the Security Services > Gateway Anti-Virus page, click the Configure Gateway AV Settings button in the Gateway Anti-Virus Global Settings section. The Gateway AV Config View window displays.

Click the Enable Gateway AV Exclusion List checkbox in the Gateway AV Exclusion List section to enable the exclusion list.

Select one of these:

Click the Use Address Object radio button

Select an address object from the drop-down menu.

Go to Step 4.

Click the Use Address Range radio button.

Click the Add button. The Add GAV Range Entry window is displayed.

Enter the IP address range in the IP Address From and IP Address To fields.

Click OK. Your IP address range appears in the Gateway AV Exclusion List table.

NOTE: To change an entry, click the edit icon in the Configure column or to delete an entry, click the delete icon.

Click OK.
