Device Settings Tab
Displays advanced device details about the SonicWALL WXA series appliance.
Interface Settings Tab
Monitors system information for WAN Acceleration configuration and statistics.
Services Tab
Displays details about the configuration of the Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and the SyslogServerfunctions.
Policies Tab
Displays details about the configuration of the network policies and provides an option to browse for policies to upload. A policy file is an XML document that captures the current configuration settings of the SonicWALL WXA series appliance. The configuration settings can then be restored on the SonicWALL WXA series appliance after a firmware upgrade or factory reset is performed.
Firmware Tab
Displays details about the current firmware and the steps for upgrading.

Name

Device Panel
(Read-only) Displays the following information:
Model Number
Serial Number
Firmware Version.
Time Settings Panel
Configure the time synchronization source, refresh the UTC time, or view the local time on client. The SonicWALL WXA series appliance is required to synchronize its time with the domain controller. However, you can configure an NPT server to synchronize time with the SonicWALL WXA series appliance if this works better on your network.
Device Statistics Panel
(Read-only) Displays the following information:
Load
Uptime
# Processes
Refresh
Refreshes the Device Settings tab. The refresh interval can be entered in the box to the right of the Refresh symbol. The interval can be increased to a maximum of 600 seconds. Click the Refresh button to manually update the Device Settings tab. Click the Pause button to stop updates on the page.
Diagnostics Report
Downloads a diagnostics report file. This file is sent to technical support and reviewed for diagnostic help.
Power Off
Shuts down the SonicWALL WXA series appliance.
Reboot
Reboots the SonicWALL WXA series appliance.
Set Time
Resets the time on the device. This synchronizes the SonicWALL WXA series appliance with the time on the domain controller. However, it is possible to override this by specifying an NTP server.

Use the Domain Controller for Time Synchronization—Select this checkbox to use the domain controller as the time synchronization source.
NTP Server—Override the domain controller synchronization by specifying an NTP server.
Validate—Validates that an NTP server is connected.
Apply—Applies all changes.
Cancel—Cancels the operation.

Configuration Panel
Displays the following:
IP Address
Default Gateway
DNS Servers
MAC
MTU
DHCP is used to obtain this information. You can also configure the MTU in this panel.
Statistics Panel
Displays the packet flow information using active flows, # bytes, packet count, packet errors, dropped packets, collisions, and actual MTU
Ping Gateway
Sends a ping request to the SonicWALL WXA series appliance. The SonicWALL NSA/TZ series appliance uses Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) to ping the gateway.
Renew DHCP Lease
Renews the DHCP lease for the SonicWALL WXA series appliance. Use this feature if the DHCP server settings are changed after the appliance is configured.

Enable SNMP or add new communities in this panel. See below for information on adding communities.
Syslog Server
Sets the server IP address that sends log messages.

Access—Select none, read-only, or read-write.
Any Source—Select the Any Source checkbox to view all available sources.

Refresh
Refreshes the Policies tab.
Policies
The default (active policy) is automatically activated and cannot be deleted. Choose the default policy (default.xml), then manage the policy settings by downloading, activating, or deleting.
Upload Policy File
Search for a policy to upload from your PC. Once a policy is uploaded it is added to the list of policies.
Firmware Tab

Current Policy
Allows you to download a copy of the current policy. Perform this before making any changes to the firmware.
Firmware Upgrade
Configures the SonicWALL WXA series appliance with the latest firmware. A step-by-step procedure walks you through the firmware upgrade process.
Factory Reset
Restores the SonicWALL WXA series appliance to the factory default settings. The following reset options are available:
