Managing the Anti-Spam Junk Box Summary

SonicOS periodically sends an email message to users listing all the messages that have been placed in their Junk Box. The Junk Box Summary includes:

Users can unjunk items listed in the Junk Box Summary email by clicking links in the email. When unjunking there is an option not to add a sender to the Allowed list.

 

To manage the Junk Box summary, perform the following steps:

Step 1
Choose the frequency to receive summaries from the Frequency of Summaries drop-down list.
Step 2
Choose the time from the Time of day to send summary fields.
Individual users can override these settings.
Step 3
Choose the day from the Day of week to send summary fields.
Individual users can override these settings.
Step 4
Choose whether to include in message summary All Junk Messages or Likely Junk Only (hide definite junk).
Step 5
Choose Language of summary emails from the drop-down list.
Step 6

Select Display junk statistics in summary email to include statistics in the summary.
Step 8
Select an option for Email address from which summary is sent .

The summary email can come from the individual user or another email address which you enter here. If summaries are sent because the address doesn’t exist, the summary message will bounce as well.

Step 9
In the Name from which summary is sent field, type the name to be displayed in the end user’s email client for the summary emails.
Step 10
In the Email subject field, type the subject line to be displayed in the end user’s email client for the summary emails.
Step 11
The URL for User View field is filled in automatically based on your server configuration and is included in the Junk Box Summary email. Clicking on the email link will allow users to unjunk messages. Test the link to ensure connectivity if you make any changes. If you have multiple SonicWALL Email Security deployments, enter the virtual hostname here.
Step 12
Users unjunk items in the Junk Box summary email by clicking links in the email. To test the URL, click the Test User Query button. If the test fails, check that the URL is correct.
Step 13
Click the Apply Changes button.
